How to develop Career path as a Student
Introduction
As students of professional development we were assigned to choose our own career path after doing market research according to our degree and majors in bachelors. I considered my options as an HR majors and made a list of organizations that offer jobs which align with goals. I identified a recruitment firm as my target organization as a fresh graduate of HR majors and also reasoned my choice of this majors. I also planned to do an internship in the same field to help me design a better portfolio once my degree is completed. This assignment required us to have good research and decision making skills after having a professional understanding of our options.
Reflection
This assignment had two benefits for me as I mentioned that my majors is HR so this assignment helped me build a professional understanding of current market and employment situation in KSA. Moreover, this helped me gather market insight in a professional manner about market and employment situation which would help me perform better at my job as an HR person I would be interviewing and shortlisting candidates. Also the task was very practical unlike most of our theory based courses so I immensely enjoyed actively participating in it. I suggest to other students attempting the same assignment to take this opportunity seriously and enhance their professional knowledge about their field of interest. If I were given the chance of doing this assignment again I would relate my theoretical learning to how I would use them in real life situation at work.

Work Ethics and Issues:
Introduction
It is mandatory for the people of organizations to follow the set ethical rules to survive in that organization which are different from every other organization. In this assignment, we were given a task to visit an organization of our choice and present a detailed report on their ethical rules and regulations. This task was done in a group. My group chose SABIC for our assignment. This assignment was aimed to give the students an idea about the importance of ethics in professional life and how they are practiced. We visited the organization, interviewed the staff over there by asking questions regarding their organization’s ethical policies and issues faced by them regarding those policies.
Reflection:
This assignment taught me that it is mandatory for every worker to follow certain ethical policies set by their organizations as they play an important role in the achievement of success in professional world. I also learned about the common problems which employees face because of these policies. Moreover, I also learnt that these policies work in favor of the organization in every manner. If I repeat this assignment, I will research on some other companies as well to give a brief comparison of the policies. I suggest other to follow these policies in the future if they want to succeed in professional world.

Professional Grooming:
Introduction
In this assignment, we were asked to make a presentation regarding the professional necessities required to be adopted to survive in a professional world. In this presentation, we talked about the importance of formal communication, work ethics, professional attire, moral standards etc. The main purpose of this assignment was to make their students professionally groomed in every manner so they never face any problem in the future.
Reflection:
This assignment helped me in learning about the importance of formal communication, work ethics, professional attire, moral standards. I got to know the difference between formal and informal clothing. I learned the importance of punctuality and also the importance of communication to survive in professional world. If I repeat this assignment, I will try to talk about certain problems confronted by fresh graduates when they enter the professional world without any grooming. I advise the other student to learn these professional grooming tricks to avoid any problems in future.

Ethical framework of a Working Professional
Introduction
We were given an assignment to form a list of all the ethical situations or decisions that one must face in a professional setup. This assignment enhanced the trait of professionalism in students as we would all be required to practices in our future jobs. In my opinion it’s very important to teach code of work ethics to students at graduate level as soon they will become part of the work force. Some of the ethical traits I included in my list were courtesy, loyalty, dignity etc. I also discussed some ethical issues related to my field like favoritism and bribing etc.
Reflection
This assignment was comparatively easier for me to attempt as I have always had an ethical orientation towards my professional goals. So I had many situations in my mind that mind challenge me being an HR professional. However, I was able to identify issues beyond a HR professional like pressure to draw certain decisions under pressure from high authorities. This assignment was an eye opener towards real life professional situations. If I were to attempt it again I will study more situations relevant to my field and also study how other fields tackle the ethical situations.
